Unpredictable Marriage.

Chapter 299 - The Old Lady Gets The Young Lady On Her Side.

"Shame on you! Even though my son didn\'t show you, love, he still gave you money and everything you deserved as his wife. He even took care of children that weren\'t his. At least he didn\'t abandon them, nor did he have other children outside during the time you two were married. But see how you paid us back...." the woman complained furiously.

"Whatever," the woman replied without care.

"Am sure you don\'t know what you just signed up for," the old lady replied before leaving the room.

As the room returned to its silence, the woman wiped her tears as she asked the nurses to check up on her son.

She refused to cry anymore nor feel bad for her actions because she took it that she wasn\'t wrong at all, but had ripped the fruits of her labor, not knowing what was lying in wait for her.

When Aunt Lin\'s ex left the hospital, he rested in his car for a while and began to think about his past life and how much he had lost over the past few years.

He hadn\'t gained anything tangible since he left his first love. Now he just found out that he has been cuckolded by the wife he was forced to marry, and cheated by his mother all these years; it was a painful thing.

Filled with pain and regrets, he drove straight to Aunt Lin\'s house.

When Aunt Lin opened the door for him, she saw him looking disheveled and heartbroken. And before she could utter a word, he hugged her.

"Shhhhh," the man shushed her with his lips before saying, "Let me hug you for a minute."

Aunt Lin stayed quiet and hugged him back.

A few minutes later, the two of them were inside the house.

"Can you tell me what happened?" Aunt Lin asked in a gentle voice.

The man sighed before encountering what had happened to him over the last few days.

Aunt Lin was shocked beyond measures. She never expected the old lady to go to great lengths to stop her from marrying her son by forcing another pregnant lady on her son.

Aunt Lin came to sit next to the man\'s side to console him. She talked to him for a while before she said at last.

"You still have a child, our daughter."

"That\'s right, we have a daughter together. Lin, thank you so much," the man appreciated.

"You are welcome," Aunt Lin replied in a smile before taking a sip of water. But what the man didn\'t notice was that the smile on her face a few seconds ago had just disappeared.

The next Monday, the man successfully divorced his wife without leaving a penny for her.

It was now that the woman came to a realization that she was nothing without her husband.

She was just a housewife who didn\'t have a job or money but got what she wanted through her husband.

The only skill she had was mah-jong skills, which she learned from following the old lady around.

Her husband refused to make expansion her son\'s head, so the hospital bill was piling up.

Her daughter, who disappeared that day, had since not shown up or answered her calls. She had used her contact to search for her daughter but failed. The bad thing about this situation was that she couldn\'t search for her daughter physically because she had to stay in the hospital to look after her son.

But what she didn\'t know was that the daughter she had been searching for this past few days had taken shelter in her \'grandmother\'s\' house.

Her daughter had long forgotten that she has a mother and a brother. In fact, she no longer recognized them.

As for the woman, she reached out to her family and told them tons of lies in order to get financial help and moral support for them.

After the tons of lies she told them, they managed to raise some money to pay part of the hospital bills, but the money was not enough, as it didn\'t go far.

Her family promised to help her with some money.

When she told them that her husband divorced her and sent her out of the house with her children without a penny, they got furious. They wanted to look for him, but she said they didn\'t allow them with the excuse that she didn\'t want his money, but while in the real sense, she didn\'t want them to find out the truth.

But how long can she hide the truth?

Her mother-in-law sent her things out of the house immediately after her husband divorced her.

And she was lucky enough that her family was willing to accept her for the time being. Still, she had many obstacles to tackle.

Right now, the old lady was with her \'granddaughter.\'

"I told you to stop crying, and you could stay here all you want, I am your grandmother after all," the old lady said while consoling the young lady.

"Grandmother, are you sure you don\'t hate me?" the young lady asked while looking at the old lady with a look of uncertainty.

"Silly child. If grandma didn\'t love you, I wouldn\'t have accepted you when you weren\'t even born," the old lady replied

"That\'s right, grandma. But you treated my brother a lot better than me. Is it because you knew I wasn\'t your biological grandchild and thought my brother was?" the young lady said.

"You might have thought I didn\'t love you because I was a little strict on you, but that is not what it meant. I was only disciplining you. Girls are supposed to be more disciplined than boys in society. And I over pampered your brother because we needed a grandson that would keep our family name alive and stop your father from having another child outside, who would stand a chance to compete with you. So out of that joy, I over pampered him. But I am sorry for neglecting you. But disciplining you paid a good price, because you are so obedient and well behaved, unlike your brother that always got into trouble," the old lady explained.

"You are right, grandmother," the young lady said in a smile.

"Good! Don\'t you want to see your mother and brother again?" the old lady asked keenly.
