Chapter 14 - Home
"Please come here more often, young sir."
The old man of the shop waved at Lucas with a slight smile on his face.
Lucas didn\'t bother to look at the old man as he walked out of the shop with the slaves he just bought.
Behind him, an old butler in formal robes, five beautiful maids in half gowns, one middle-aged tier 1 lesser knight and 10 weak-looking young men in pain robes.
On their hands, there was a freshly imprinted tattoo of two crossed-short swords emitting black fire. It was the insignia of the Hellmore family and with that tattoo, all these slaves are officially the property of the Hellmore family.
To buy all of them, it cost 2790 after removing the 10 percent discount as a new main family head.
Since they were giving a 10 percent discount, Lucas bought two high-quality tamed horses along with a cart with 199 gold coins leaving him exactly 1000 gold coins.
Soon, Lucas and Shawn boarded the cart he bought whereas the slaves boarded three carts prepared by the shop.
It was the responsibility of the shop to deliver the goods to the customer\'s place without charging anything.
"Sir Lucas, do you want to buy anything else like weapons, pills, spirit beasts or their eggs?"
While moving out of the slave market, Shawn asked Lucas.
\'I only have 1000 gold coins and I can\'t spend them randomly. So, I will check them after I find a way to earn money.\'
Lucas silently thought in his head as he shook his head at Shawn.
"Do you have any idea about the cost of hidden needles that could penetrate the General knight bodies?"
Suddenly, Lucas thought about something and asked Shawn about the price of his favourite hidden weapons.
Even though he could use stones or toothpicks, he could only blind the Knights as their bodies are strong and these normal stones and toothpicks would do much damage. So, he wanted to know the price for hidden needles
\'Hidden needles?\'
Shawn raised his brows for a moment and said, "The cost depends on the material; however, I can say that a single hidden needle that could penetrate the bodies of a general knight cost a minimum of 100 gold coins."
"Oh."
Lucas was not surprised at such a huge price before asking, "Then, what about hidden needles for lesser knights?"
With the price of 10 such needles, Lucas could have bought another Tier 1 lesser knight slave.
When he thought about it, Lucas felt the human\'s life in this world is worthless compared to his previous world.
"It ranges from 10 gold coins to 99 gold coins for a single hidden needle."
Shawn didn\'t think much before replying to Lucas.
"Can you deliver 10 hidden needles with these 100 gold coins by tomorrow?"
Lucas knew he had a tier 4 general knight guardian; however, having 10 hidden needles on him could be useful in emergencies.
Moreover, he wanted to make a friend from the adventurer\'s guild. So, to show his sincerity, Lucas took out 100 gold coins and gave them to Shawn.
"Don\'t worry about the money, Sir Lucas. I will take the money after I deliver those needles to you."
Shawn replied with a polite smile.
"Sure."
Lucas didn\'t try to force Shawn and allowed him to guide the horses towards the Lively inn.
Along the way, they talked about a few things and mostly it was Shawn who spoke about his past and how he ended up in the adventurer\'s guild.
Soon, they picked up Evan and Bernard before going to their new manor.
"Sir Lucas, that is your manor."
On the edge of the Silverstone town, there was a huge light blue-coloured building and in front of the building, there was a small-sized garden with a small fountain.
Moreover, there was enough open ground within the courtyard for training.
"Big brother, that manor is beautiful."
Evan was the first one to exclaim as he said his inner thoughts the moment his eyes fell on the manor.
"From today onwards, this is our home."
Lucas didn\'t have much preference as he lived in the most terrible places while completing the missions in this past life. Compared to them, all the other places are heavens.
Nevertheless, finally, there is a place called \'Home\' for him in this life.
"Sir Lucas, I will take my leave now. Tomorrow, I will come again."
After saying those words, Shawn jumped down the cart and left with the three carts from the adventurer\'s guild\'s shop.
In front of a huge gate, Lucas, Evan, Bernard and 17 Hellmoe family slaves were standing while looking at the huge light-blue coloured manor.
"Everyone, let\'s enter."
As soon as he finished his words, one of the young squires rushed towards the gate and opened it for Lucas and others.
Nodding his head, Lucas entered the courtyard while holding his little brother\'s hand.
Behind him, Bernard and the rest of the slaves followed while looking at their surroundings.
\'We should work hard and prove our worth.\'
\'Yeah. Master spent so much money on us.\'
\'Even though my strength is limited, I should protect my master at any cost.\'
.
.
Along the way, all the servants had their own thoughts and all of them were eager to prove their worth.
Among them, squires were very eager to train as hard as possible because, until today, they were just bonuses that were gifted along with a knight; however, Lucas spent 10 gold coins per each one of them and bought them away from a nightmarish place.
Even though they didn\'t know what kind of person their new master is, they decided to help him as much as possible.
...…..
Some distance away from the Raindrop manor,
\'Killflash, what do you think about that old man?\'
\'As long as we are careful, we can kill the two targets before he could notice it; however, we need to wait until they leave this town.\'
\'Yeah. This adventurer\'s guild is becoming more and more powerful. Our assassin guild is still can\'t compare to this adventurer\'s guild in this firmament.\'
Two masked assassins were sitting on the branches of two tall trees as they observed Lucas and others enter the manor while conversing with one another.
