Chapter 102 You Devil!
Huge fangs, glistening in a flashing white color manifested around the corpses of the Silverheart Dwarves as Liam stared coldly at them.
"I cannot even sell your heavy armor…disgusting rats…" He cursed under his breath, ignoring that he had been at fault for this.
The hair, skin, and parts of the Silverheart Dwarves\' flesh were stuck to the Heavy Armor Sets because they had melted. Both parts of the Heavy Armor Sets and the skin and flesh of the Dwarves had melted and they were now glued together.
Liam couldn\'t bother sorting out which parts of the Heavy Armors were still usable or if there were full sets of Heavy Armors that had no skin or flesh attached to them. He allowed the Livral Orb to devour it all!
A huge maw filled with hundreds of white fangs emerged out of the ground, devouring dozens of Silverheart Dwarves in an instant.
As for their weapons, they were left behind.
[The Livral Orb devoured the corpses of 49 Silverheart Dwarves.]
[Digesting the Silverheart Dwarves will take 60 minutes. The produced Arcane Power will be stored in the Livral Orb\'s storage, and can then be used, or sold at will!]
Liam picked up one of the many huge and heavy weapons of the Silverheart Dwarves and shook his head.
"Way too heavy. It has a great balance, is sharp, and can be used well by the right person, but this stuff is useless for me," He mumbled to himself before turning his head to the three girls who had come out of the Underground Tower.
"You don\'t need them either, right?"
The girls shook their heads slowly following which Liam put the weapons up for sale in the Early Birds Shop afterward. The price he asked for was not too cheap but it was a fair price. After all war axes and heavy broadswords had been put up for sale, Liam turned to the only Silverheart Dwarf whom he hadn\'t killed yet.
The Dwarf was unconscious but it shouldn\'t take long before he would wake up.
"Do you know why they attacked us first?" Olivia asked. She looked at Liam as if he had the answer for everything.
Liam thought of something but he mulled over his answer for a few seconds.
"They may have started with the construction of a small settlement nearby. It\'s rare to see Silverheart Dwarves in such large hunting groups. These Dwarves weren\'t able to use their strength properly either even though their presence and appearance indicated that they had fought many battles in the past. I think they destroyed their Arcane Circles to be granted permission to come over to Haltan in order to claim some territory, resulting in a sudden decrease in their strength," Liam summarized, mostly to himself.
"If the hunting group was already consisting of 50 members, they should have hundreds of Silverheart Dwarves somewhere in the valley. Did they plan to conquer the Underground Tower?"
As Liam was trying to connect the clues he had picked up from the arrival of 50 heavy-armored Silverheart Dwarven soldiers, and the knowledge he had about the Silverheart Dwarven race, he saw from the corner of his eye that the unconscious Dwarf twitched.
He would wake up soon.
Liam bought some cheap ropes which he used to tie the Silverheart Dwarf\'s arms and legs. The Dwarf woke up not long after he finished tying him up.
He stared at Liam with hatred in his eyes and spit at him. Liam moved to the side, avoiding getting splattered with saliva.
His eyes turned ice-cold and he kicked the Dwarf right in the face, breaking his nose with a loud crack.
"You Devil!!" The Silverheart Dwarf growled with nothing but hatred on his face while blood gushed out of his nose. Liam snickered in response.
"Good joke, earthworm," He retorted, transforming his hands into claws once again. His hand shot down towards the Dwarf\'s face as blood spurted while Liam lifted his body once again, holding a large, slightly pointed ear in his bloodied hand.
He threw the ear to the side and stared at the Dwarf, whose eyes widened.
"W-Who the hell are you, you dev–....you monster!" The Silverheart Dwarven Warrior wanted to call Liam a Devil once again, but he chose a different word after seeing the glint in Liam\'s royal purple eyes.
"I don\'t think that you have the authority to ask me any questions, not in the current position you\'re in," Liam reminded him, "Take a good look at the current situation and tell me whether I am the one in a disadvantageous position, or if you are the one who is tied up, burned and missing an ear!"
Liam\'s claws reached for him again, slicing through the Dwarf\'s beard. The Dwarf shrieked when he saw the handful of hairs in Liam\'s hand.
Most Dwarven races would never cut their hair in their entire life. It was a tribute to their Gods, denoting that they believed in the Flames of Life, the Path of Kilaman, and the Blessing of the Afterlife.
Cutting their beard was equivalent to cutting their connection to the Gods and the possibility to reincarnate as a fellow Dwarf. The moment the Silverheart Dwarf were to die, his soul would have nowhere to go. It wouldn\'t be accepted anywhere and he would end up in the Void of nothingness until the end of time.
"Noo!!!" The Silverheart Dwarf cried out, thrashing around wildly in an attempt to free himself.
However, Liam was heartless. His claws reached for the neck of the Dwarf, strangling him with tremendous power in his claws. The tip of his claws dug into the flesh of the Dwarf while his breath was taken away.
"I would be a little bit more careful if I were in your position. After all, I\'m the one who decides how you\'re going to die!" Liam hissed into the remaining ear of the Silverheart Dwarf.
The Dwarf felt like he was paralyzed. He could see that Liam\'s left hand was about to reach for his helmet, and it was not difficult to conclude that Liam was about to cut off the Dwarf\'s hair.
If the roughly cut beard was not already humiliating enough, cutting off the hair on his head would mean that the Silverheart Dwarf had simply abandoned his Gods and that he had proclaimed to wage war with them.
"Don\'t. DON\'T do it!! I will talk, you…"
